Portrait in Puerto Rico
I asked this guy on the beach in Puerto Rico to take his portrait. I was terrified he’d say no and I would feel embarrassed and rejected. I have battled the fear of rejection for a very long time - often it has felt crippling. I can’t explain why I struggle so much with this, but it’s true.
He was kind and very appreciative - he said yes. Every time I see these photos, I’m reminded that what’s on the other side of fear is often worth the uncomfortable feeling of the unknown.

Quiet Morning
7:15am | Watching the sunrise out my office window and listening to Dan Auerbach. I’ll be getting up Birdie soon. Today we will probably spend the day outside and go on a family walk.
Sunday Slowdown Interview with Sean Woolsey Studio
My good friend Sean Woolsey started a series interviewing different artists about their work and how they are navigating life during COVID-19. It was a privilege to be apart of this series. Here is a peek into what I have been up to.
Hotel Rooms: Sister City Hotel | New York
Whenever I stay at a hotel I usually drop my bags and take a few photos of the room. This was my hotel room at Sister City Hotel in New York. It’s in a great location in the Lower Eastside. The room I stayed in was really small but they did a good job putting everything you need in the room without it feeling crowded. Although I wasnt able to visit the rooftop bar or enjoy the restaurant, I’d recommend checking it out next time you’re in NYC.

Our Home on Lake Roesiger
A few images from our home on Lake Roesiger. Living on a lake was something I always wanted to do. It was as incredible during the summer but hard in the winter, but equally beautiful.
